Firearms Academy of Seattle

Going from home to The Valley of the Rogue State Park in Oregon took about 11 hours to go about 500 miles. That included a couple of stops, but it pretty much was all driving.

After spending a couple of days at the park, I was back on the road. They day's drive required  215 miles to get to the Phoenix RV Park in Salem, OR. This was just a one night stop over on my way to FAS. It was a good time to dump and fill as well as stock on all of the food and drink I'll need while spending six or more nights out on the range.

I left Phoenix RV park about 11:30AM the next morning and drove 140 miles to the Firearms Academy of Seattle. I simply boon docked on their property. I took some pictures through the windows while in Portland and going over the Columbia River into Washington. Obviously, I could not concentrate too much on the picture taking, so they did not come out too well. Here's one in Portland going over the bridge. Not very scenic, but the pictures of the river are no good. FYI, you can see the silhouette of the GPS in the lower right. :)

Below is a picture where I'm all set up at the range. There was not another soul around. Oh well, it looks like I'm at the right place. Best get things ready for the first day of class tomorrow.

** Class experience / info here **

The shooting classes were challenging and fun. After receiving our certificates, we had a luau. There were no grass skirts and coconuts (thankfully). Here's the pig right after it was pulled from the ground.

And, here's the serving table with more goodies, and a bunch of hungry guys.
