Paso Robles, California

Activity Date:
09/06/2007 - 09/13/2007

We intended to stop in Paso Robles for only a few days. But, we enjoyed the area so much we kept extending our stay until we ended up being there a week!

What a start to our trip.   We stayed at the wonderful Wine Country RV Resort.  We visited a number of wineries, a few restaurants and had a very relaxing time in the area. Here is a view of part of the RV park. The red arrow points to our RV.

Firestone Winery was right next door to the RV park. We were able to walk over for wine tasting.  It’s a nice view of the vineyards, too.

After getting settled, Jeff wanted to catch up on some email.  The cats moved right in to help him out.  :)

Paso Robles is an up and coming wine country. A good overall map of the area wineries can be found here.  We have visited a number of the wineries in the years past, so re-visited our favorites and found some new ones to try this time around.  We are not super wine connoisseurs, but we know what we like when we taste it. :) There is not a lot of space in the RV to store bottles of wine, so we have to be selective, which is hard because the next winery we visit just might have something better than the last one. :) From the look on Zoe’s face, you’d think she was out tasting wine all day. :)

Martin & Weyrich Winery was nearby. It has a very pretty tasting room.

Chloe is getting used to being around the dogs. Especially Caper, who is more mellow than Oreo.

Ahhh... after a hard day wine-tasting, Cynthia takes a nap on the couch with Chloe and Punkin. Amazing - Chloe is lying on top of Punkin!

We had a great week in Paso Robles.
Wineries we visited include:

And, we enjoyed eating at these restaurants:
